Frequency adverbs tell us how often something happens. They are used with the present
simple tense to describe regular or repeated actions. These adverbs usually come before the
main verb, but after the verb “to be” (am, is, are).
Answer these questions with your partner. Use the adverbs of frequency: always, usually,
sometimes, rarely, never.
Tim is a student who lives in a small town. Every morning, he wakes up at 7:00 am. He
always eats breakfast with his family. Tim loves to eat cereal and drink milk, but sometimes
he drinks juice instead.
