What Caused a Plane to Fall from the Sky in Brazil?

A plane crashed in Brazil, killing 62 people. The plane was flying from Cascavel

to São Paulo when it suddenly fell from the sky. Experts believe the plane

stalled, which means it lost the lift needed to stay in the air, causing it to spin

and crash.

Investigators are looking at the plane's black boxes to understand what

happened. They think the plane might have stalled because of ice on its wings.

Ice can make a plane heavier and harder to fly. If the ice was very bad, it could

have made the plane stall, even though it was going fast.

The plane that crashed, an ATR 72-500, has systems to remove ice from the

wings. But it's not clear if the pilots turned on the anti-icing system or if it failed.

Experts are also puzzled because the pilots did not send any emergency

messages before the crash. They are still trying to figure out why.

At the crash site, officials are recovering the bodies of the victims. The

passengers included doctors, professors, and other professionals.
